Update: Friday 7th May 2021
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PRACTICE ABOUT COVID VACCINATION, INVITATIONS WILL COME EITHER VIA POST OR TEXT.
Please see the news section below or our Facebook page for the latest updates on Covid-19 vaccination including if you have received a nationally sent letter about appointment booking.
As we start to come out of lockdown, an important couple of reminders below to help us keep our patients and staff team safe:
- IF YOU ARE AWAITING THE RESULTS OF A COVID-19 TEST PLEASE MENTION THIS TO OUR TEAM BEFORE COMING IN FOR ANY FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT OR REQUESTING A FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT. THIS INCLUDES FOR NURSING APPOINTMENTS.
- IF YOU HAVE A COUGH, LOSS OF TASTE/SMELL OR TEMPERATURE BEFORE YOUR AGREED VISIT PLEASE CALL FOR FURTHER ADVICE.
As has been the case throughout the Covid-19 shutdown, we continue to be open for help with health problems.
Access is available in a slightly different way to before and will continue to be this way for the foreseeable future. We have many people visiting the practice; to protect you and our team we also continue to have extra safety measures against Covid-19 at the practice.
You will be offered a phone appointment with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or a GP as appropriate in the first instance. The Clinician will then ask you to come to the practice and tell you the arrangements for this should a face to face consultation be required.
Telephone slots are available to book online. Please note that phone call volumes are currently extremely high; for non urgent queries we would be grateful if you would call outside of the busiest times which are generally early morning especially on Monday and Friday. See in the news section below for information about Covid 19 vaccination. We do not receive all vaccine stock at once therefore we are managing recalls accordingly.
Most nursing team appointments for routine consultations such as cervical smears, vaccination and blood tests continue to be available as normal. Please contact the team for further advice.
For your own safety, that of potentially vulnerable patients note the following:
PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE SURGERY WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.
WE ARE NOW TAKING THE TEMPERATURE OF EVERYONE ENTERING THE BUILDING.
WE REQUIRE THOSE ENTERING THE BUILDING TO WEAR A FACE COVERING UNLESS THERE IS A CLINICAL REASON NOT TO. PLEASE ADVISE AT TIME OF BOOKING ANY POTENTIAL FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT SO THAT APPROPRIATE ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE.
NUMBERS IN THE WAITING ROOM ARE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 4 PEOPLE, TO PREVENT OVERCROWDING, YOU MIGHT BE ASKED TO WAIT OUTSIDE IF WE ARE AT CAPACITY.
The NHS App provides a link to many online facilities, including appointment booking and cancellation along with prescription ordering. It also contains a range of health information and resources, along with practical information and advice. Link to information on the NHS App
If you need help or further information, please give us a call or ask at reception the next time you are in.
